Day 1 – Do you believe in God?/What religion are you?
I am agnostic with atheist leanings.
I was raised Roman Catholic, have been baptized, received communion and been confirmed. I was also a Charismatic Catholic for about four years. Then I lived on my own and formed my own beliefs.
I started to really examine why I believed the way I did, and I was having more and more issues with the teachings of the church. I found I disagreed with most of the teachings and I couldn’t fake it any longer. I do believe in a high power of sorts, but I think its more along the lines of karma and that the type of energy you put out in the world is the type of energy that will return to you. I think most of my beliefs are along the lines of Buddhism, but I see Buddhism more as a philosophy than a religion. I have made the decision to be a good person all on my own, without anybody telling me I need to be or pressure from anyone else.
One of my favorite things is when I tell people in the area I live that I am atheist/agnostic. The looks on their faces are PRICELESS
